    Big Mtn. MT mags...

I'm gonna be there with family January first thru the 7th. They stick to the groomed mostly, and I do not. I've never been there, so if anyone wants to show me around, that'd be cool.

there is a chance that I will still be in town then...I'll keep you posted.

Have you been up at all? Do they have the front side open yet, or is it just the back still? Look forward to making some turns with you between Christmas and New Years.

yeah, i'm restricted to weekend warrior status because of my job. however, the 12+ inch rule is secretly in effect...

last weekend was c-o-l-d and there wasn't too much new snow. the front is partially open, but the coverage is sketchy. since i'm new to the area/resort, i just don't know where too much of the goods are yet. skied off the east rim last weekend in some decent, boot-to-knee deep stuff. they've had some decent accumulation during this week, but i'm not sure how the super-cold temps might be changing the snow quality.

I'm in boze, not whitefish, but there is a heavy snow warning for the idaho panhandle. Looks like there will be precipitation. the form is the primary question at this point.

question answered: it was snow, glorious snow.

the reported total for last night was five inches, but there was more snow than that in most places. 'twas puking snow all day long. tomorrow should be another good day, just a wet good day. the temps were right at the magical point where it snows instead of rains... and thus the conditions were heavy in places and then all chopped up towards mid-day.

lots of canadians there today, the glacier express chair had a wait of maybe 10 minutes. no waiting anywhere else. best runs of the day were probably on good medicine before it was too chopped up.
