    Mounting Fritschis

I am mounting a pair of Titanal II on an older K2 Enemy (Black and White ones). I cannot mount at boot tip mark on ski because of previously mounted Soly's. Balance point of ski is about 2-2.5cm back of boot tip mark. I guess question is should I go in front of boot tip 1cm or mount back towards balance point which would result in better touring, but probably less performance. I am not planning to do extended touring on these, just short laps. ANy input would help - Thanks

Balance point has no relevance. Recommended mounting point would be the best. -1 cm (towards the tail) would give better powder performance, + 1cm would give quicker turn initiation, better hucking stability. Depends on the use. Also, you can compare rec mounting point with other skis; if rec mounting point is far to the front compared to other skis; mount back 1 cm and vice versa.

    For what it is worth.

    Good luck!
