Sweet. I was wondering what the hell happened to you.

Tomorrow's gonna suck. The rumor that 10's gonna open is completely untrue. In fact, I hear it broke today. Permanently. In fact, they're just gonna rip it out.

God damnit. I'm shaking with anticipation. Can't work, can't think, wanna ski.

666, lph, and AKA had 2nd chair. 1st chair was a group of boarders. So basically they had 1st chair. You can guess where they went...I hate them all.

I am still fuckin shaking from the adrenalin rush. Today was the best opener out of the last 5 I have made it to.

As arty said, we were 2nd chair, but 1st were boarders, so we got first tracks down Look out and Zach's.

Next run 666 was first down the belly of oops. AKA and I first tracks down skier's right side of oops. the coverage in there was amazing. After that it is a blur of palisades, 666 hitting the cliff band left of ski school, AKA straightlining under a rock overhang in little jims chute, Lou hitting big jim's chute.

THAT was what early season Kirkwood should be. The wet snow covered all the sharks teeth, the light snow that fell last night was on top of that. It was one big playground. Lou should have some pics, I have a couple seconds of video.

    I am spent.

10 opening tomorrow, although almost everything from the lift all the way to the Sister chutes slid today during bombing. One slide path went all the way into the drain.

    enough rambling.

    git up here boys!!!!!!!

Heh. That would be partially (about .05%) true if I had ridden my bike instead of sitting on my ass this past summer. I'm kinda sloppy right now.

    Also, I'm glad you're confused.

So...back to the topic at hand...who wants to get rowdy tomorrow? [Arty meekly raises hand while having visions of breaking himself]

moved from other thread I started

    Kirkwood 12/2/05
Apparently I don't take good pictures. I also don't write too good.

Top shelf today. It started off right, getting to see ^666 waiting in the CHAIR 5 maze...

Couple laps there then over to wait on 6. Still managed about 6th chair even with the chair 5 detour when they got it running at about 11a. Saw lph, HR and 666 start down the untrtacked Lookout and Zachs before unloading and trying to catch up.

From there - Jims, Oops, PAlisades, Wagon Wheel bowl, and on and on. Everyone was a bit timid at first, but the wet storm had plastered everything and the 6 or so inches that came in overnight got the search for huckable features started.

Here are the only three pictures I took before the battery died. They suck, but I am too stoked to care.

Lou, you weren't kidding when you say you mistimed the pics. you can tell we are rusty, dragging those hands behind us.

Anyway, yeah Pu, IMVHO, it was better than 03. The snow wasn't quite as light and deep. But that wet storm just stuck to everything. Today would have been a good day had it come in mid january or even march.

The reason it was so good, all those features that kirkwood is known for early season, were all covered in snow! NO sharks teeth. The playground was in full effect.

Anyways, we shall repeat today tomorrow. Only on lift 10 instead of lift 6. Lower Cirque should be off the hook!!!

shit shit shit shit shit....well, i'm really divided here, i mean I just got a job so that's fantastic and all, but I missed the thursday opening, which isn't so hot. then again, I have a job, and now medical insurance so I'm not SOL if the unthinkable happens. I'll be seeing you guys all up there tomorrow morning, it's been far too long...still haven't gotten new skis so i'll still be on AK enemys.
