Colorado is going off... AGAIN!!!

Amazing for this time of year in colorado! everywhere is epic. With 16 more inches expected today I know fo sure all you maggots in the summit county area are gonna be getn some. SO post away lets here the reports of the good times for another pow day for dec 2nd. Breckenridge or Copper for us pics to come later fo sure! How bout everyone else?

It is not going to snow in colorado...

In a drastic shift in weather methods, it is going to be 85 and sunny today. Don't bring your skis, because the snow is going to melt.

The funny thing is, this is what is going to happen, I'm headed to Colorado in a week and a half, so don't worry, they'll be high pressure and unseasonable warmth coming soon, I bring it with me every time. No joke.

I heard everything opened but Blue Sky yesterday and that Blue Sky would open on Sunday from someone who was there... but the website does not confirm his report.

Thanks Funken! Man it would be nice (from a weekend warrior perspective) if they did not open today and all that snow was sitting there for tomorrow. Either way tomorrow is going to be awesome.

Any word about The Ridge opening at Loveland. That would be sweet if it opened tomorrow!

I heard this morning (rode chair 5 with 2 patrollers) that the everything opens a week from today. VA won't open that until they open Two Elk Lodge. Which is understandable, as I sure as shit ain't goin' back there without access to mocha lattes. It will NOT open tomorrow. They also say they've been bombing the shit out of Genghis, etc. and it's been ripping to the ground.

That's okay... East Vail will be just as good next weekend and hopefully safer.

This most recent wave of moisture is WARM, and the snow is substantially heavier.....heavy snow on top of the cold smoke from a few days ago: things are dicey right now....I kicked off a few small slabs in the trees this morning in various locations. I can't wait to get back to EV/mushie, though.

It is exactly like this in Steamboat right now...we just got a big round of blower earlier in the week, and the snow from last night and today is just barely freezing and is really wet

Breck opened imperial chair today was absolutely sick we showed up 5 minutes into it to get some face shots thru imperial bowl and some nice laps down around chair 6. Sorry for all u putn it off till monday!

wolf creek did have lots of windblown and knee-deep in the woods today. perhaps the best thing was that it snowed all day and there were only around 100 people on the entire 40% that is open. everybody there pretty much had the mountain to themselves. if it have been keeping up after we left there could be 10 inches of new tomorrow.

We just got in to Breck after a drive of four and a half hours that normally I do in just under three. The roads where icy as shit and it was snowing pretty good from Kremmling on down. And its still snowing pretty good. I hope the roads get closed to keep the weekend traffic down so that I can do laps on the T-Bar with no waiting. And with the way the wind is blowing Horseshoe should be totally wind loaded so after patrol clears it.......GAME ON
