This doesn't answer your question really, but getting wisdom teeth pulled sucks big time. There was definitely no way I could have done much for physical activity following the extraction of my wisdom teeth. I had severe swelling for an extended period of time, but the swelling eventually went down and the pain subsided. Unfortunately, about a month later I woke up for work and the whole right side of my face had ballooned out. I went to work, but had to leave as it continued to swell. It turned out that something had made its way in there as it was healing, and the end result (warning: disgusting) was pus and blood pouring into my mouth after I pushed on my cheek. I'm not talking just like a little bit of spit, I'm talking two solid mouthfuls of nasty yellow, bloody crap

Wow, it sounds like most of you have had some pretty horrific experiences with wisdom teeth. I had all 4 of mine taken out under general anesthesia, went home, took a 4 hour nap, then woke up and was skating a halfpipe later that night. I was also smoking on day 2 and never ended up with a dry socket. I guess I'm one of the very few people who had a good wisdom teeth extraction experience.
