whuuuut? seriously? I have watched maybe 4 B's games this year so I'm not exactly up to date, but Joe getting traded seems wacky and wrong.
quick side note: I met Hal Gil in the north end last summer, dude is super cool, we talked about fishing.

I can't believe they traded Jumbo Joe. Captain, franchise player...for a quick fix to try to turn the Bruins around this year. I just don't get it. They just signed him to a 3 year, 20 million dollar deal. When the news last night said big sports trade in Boston, I figured it had to be Manny.

Bruins management just had a major brain cramp, I think.... this makes no sense AT ALL from the B's point of view.
But at least us west coast'ers get to see him once in a while now.

Umm.. After losing 9 of their last 10 games, the B's are beating the best team in hockey(Ottawa) midway thru the 3rd period, 3-0. One of the new guys from the trade, Marco Sturm scored 1:17 into the game. Maybe shakeups are good.
EDIT: make that a final score. Entire place was on it's feet screaming for the last 2 minutes like it was for the Stanley Cup. After bashing MGMT all day. What a weird sports town.Last edited by DaveTV; 12-01-2005 at 08:19 PM.
