i have 3 FF's and for skiing i prefer a well ventilated helmet (giro mad max II, specialized deviant) and a thin wool skullcap for the cold days. works great.

the skullcap is usually in my jacket pocket 90% of the time.

i've looked around for a FF w/ closable vents but haven't seen anything.

I gave up. I'm just going to use the mountain bike version, which has more vents, then wear a skull cap underneath if it is really cold.

I asked the GFs brother about it since he designs Giro's helmets, but he said they are too much of a nitch market to really add a lot of varities too. I know they won't add any in the forseeable future and doubt anyone else would either.

I may try and see if the vent system in the G10 can be ported to a Remedy though.

Word, I started reading the thread and was like wtf... I thought I'd read this before.

I second the just wearing a scully on cold days.... but my ff has always been warm enough for 90% of the days anyway... plus those really cold days I rock a regular helmet and something over my neck, up to my nose anyway.
