DB/DP close out!

hey guys, i just got an e-mail from goode saying they're selling all their old BDs and DPs from before the split! lots of Tabla Rasas, Surreals, and Rs for sale with a reduced price i guess. i already ordered my TRs.

just $00.02 from a jong, but they originally sold for like $900 right? So we're getting a ski with no company left, and no real information or options (Flex?) for $250 more than it costs to buy a pr. of Bros? The discount, to me at least, just seems a little chincy for the "closeout" moniker.

intersting...this is a bit of stab at the little guy it seems to me... I do hear that the real DP skis (the ones that Drake is involved with) will be rolling out of the factory in 06 if anyone is interested.

What I really wonder is why these skis weren't offered to the people on the waiting lists when DB operations were still intact?

Could it be that the D and the B didn't approve of these skis knowing how their customers would ski them and decided it was better not to push skis not up to scratch? Not that I know anything about it, but one does think....

I would kinda expect different companies to think in different ways. That a company has more returns/breakages than other companies might ot always be due to inferior products. Not the other way around. I guess not a lot of Bogner skis are shattered from hucking; though I'd never interpret this as mening that it's a rock solid ski. Knowing how D and B both ski I'd be very cautious of buying something that they might have decidedly held back. That's just me though....

This smells like foul play from a looooooooong distance. I don't know what has been going on here. But I do know that neither Drake nor Boinnay are particularly good friends with mr Goode at this point. A possibility is that these skis haven't been ok'ed for sale by D or B at db, but that they have been left in mr Goodes factory when B then D split. Possibly mr Goode now decides to sell these skis for his own gain. It sounds strange though, as I don't think mr Goode can claim ownership to these skis; that would have to be the db company, I would think.

This is all just me thinking though. I guess I am just saying that people are well adviced to stay away until we hear more about this.

This fucker,Biotoxic Whaterver 54 approaches that he has "some unmounted things for sale,like,for the new price".He approaches first by PM then by mail.He cannot specify my inquiries about,like,what,how,who?Then he "checks his garage" and happen to find some Mid-Flex TablaRasas.

Wants get paid by creditcard (via a company?).

I am offering a limited number of DB/DP Skis for sale at greatly reduced prices. All of these skis were all built in February/March 2005 and have the "NEW" internal construction. All of the skis come with a one year warranty.
This is an opportunity for a few skiers to get some great skis at a great price. I worked with Stephan and cYrille for three years developing these skis. For many reasons, Stephan and cYrille decided to leave the company just as the skis were in their final production phases. I am glad that I can now offer them to you.

All of these close-out skis are built with the new construction. Some have cosmetic blemishes, but all will ski great and give many years of excellent performance.

These skis are available on a first come first serve basis.

My initial thought (other than I don't wanna buy defunct breakaway skis) was that these were being sold by the residual corporation to pay the creditors (which is probably 90% Dave Goode and his factory). that's fine.

But this spam shit. Revealing emails and spamming them? And Toxic Fuck claiming to have no affiliation with Goode and then offering in a PM to sell undrilled DB's??

I have just been told that this stunt is NOT ok with dp.

It looks as if Goode tries to sell 2nd class db/dp gear for his own gain. Drake and/or Boinnay have not ok'd these skis for the public, and they are of an inferior quality to what Drake and Boinnay will allow to hit the market in the future. Possible negative image effects as a result of bad skis could be a problem for Drake and/or Boinnay in their new efforts. This is very bad style from mr Goode.

I will encourage everyone NOT to buy any of these skis. Given mr Goode's behaviour I will also discourage people from buying any other of mr Goode's gear.
