Photographer Call for Entry = Win heliskiing!!

    CALL FOR ENTRY!!
Out of Bounds: Tales from the Backcountry
    Photo Contest & Exhibition

    Win a free heliskiing trip!

If you like to go out of bounds with a board or two and a camera, it's
time to bring your images in-bounds to Whistler Arts Council's 2nd Annual
Out of Bounds: Tales from the Backcountry exhibition!

Presented in partnership with Coast Range Heliskiing, Out of Bounds is
a popular photo contest and exhibition for both amateur and professional photographers.

This year, Coast Range Heliskiing is again sponsoring the People's Choice Award for Best of Show. One photographer and one member of the voting public will win a free heliskiing trip. Winners will be announced at the end of February 2006.

The juried exhibition will feature photographers from the Sea to Sky
Corridor and Lower Mainland with images of skiing and snowboarding in
British Columbia's beautiful backcountry, whether accessed by foot,
    snowmobile, helicopter, watercraft or dogsled.

Images will be exhibited throughout the month of February 2006 at
Millennium Place and numerous satellite venues around Whistler Village including cafes, retail stores and hotel lobbies. The exhibition kicks off with another packed-house opening reception Saturday, February 4th, 2006.

Eligible entrants include amateur and professional photographers living
in the Sea to Sky Corridor and Lower Mainland (Lillooet to Lions Bay, West & North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam,
Richmond, Delta, White Rock, Surrey, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Port Moody, Maple Ridge).

An impartial jury will select the photographers who will be showcased
and eligible to win. Submissions will be judged on artistic merit,
composition, technical skill and adherence to show theme Out of Bounds: Tales from the Backcountry (no chairlifts please!).

Also a new category has been added this year for images that have been computer manipulated and/or developed into artwork. These images will be exhibited separately and are not eligible for the Heliskiing prize. Please contact the Whistler Arts Council for details.

Submission deadline is December 10, 2005.

Application forms are available via email at

I think that I recently saw a new Mtbakerskier alias... something like MtLowerMainlandSkier.

I'd vouch for it... who's with me?
