That is an Alaska Heli skiing trip. The worst part was this morning I was joking around at work saying I should buy one and sell it for double to some desperate kids. Now I feel stupid.

A classmate lined up at 5 this morning and bought 3. each and every one is on ebay fetching a kings ransom.

And I didn't believe the fucker when he told me yesterday that there would be money in it

I saw them at Target this morning as of 10 am they had not sold out, but only had a few left.

If I had only known about the hype surrounding them i would have picked one up and flipped it for a grand.

    Damn.

Went to a store last night doing the lottery thing...over 300 people waiting only for the store manager to announce that they had 7 of them Unless you waited overnight for one at an electronics store, don't bet on getting one.

a guy here at work won a national video contest sponsored by Microsoft; he got an all expense paid trip for 6 to the launch event, plus SIX new X boxes (the upgraded ones). He kept one, gave two to the other people who worked on the video, and sold two on eBay for around $800 a piece - yesterday morning.

Last I saw him he was in front of a computer, kicking himself in the head...

So: is it worth it to list the XBOX now, then hope that the prices hollow out (or get restocked at stores) and ship within standard UPS period of 3 days?

likely not sham, as the next shipment probably won't land till next tuesday/wednesday, so prices just go up until then.

God Damnit!!! I was planning to get one this morning and do this exact thing, but I had a dentist appointment at 8:00 am which screwed all my plans of waiting in line at 5:00 am to buy one when they opened. I was planning to use the money for some 916's...oh well.

Just a friendly thought... preorder PS3's the day they start taking preorders, because chances are demand will be just about as bad for them.
