You walked right into that one.

Anyway, so why did you post a thread about that? What was the motivation?

Jimeny Christmas. I know you are just trying to be friendly and all, but before you insult somebody, you might want to actually read their fucking posts so you don't come across as looking like an idiot mtbakerskier.

You know if you quit spewing mindless shit, and actually posted some pics of your board the edge, sidewall, top sheet and base, you might actually get some good advice............................ But what do I know about ski construction and repair
Psst ... mtbakerskier ... overhere. If you quit knee jerk reacting and actually read my posts you would understand that I have already been over this thouroughly. Thanks, but no thanks. I am not looking for anyones advice. I don't need you or anyone else to tell me my edge is fucked up beyond salvaging. I am quite capable of making that determination myself as well as a determination of what needs to be done and how to do it. I was simply curious as to whether or not anyone has replaced an entire edge length as I am going to do. Just fucking curious - that is all. Not if anyone thinks I can do it, should do it, if it is worth doing, etc. Get it?

Pretty clear I have been about this. Seperate yourself from the mindless mob bandwagon dude and before you tell someone that they are spewing mindless shit it would behoove you to make sure that the shit you are spewing is actually relevant and hasn't already been addressed multiple times by the one you are trying to insult and they haven't already provided the info you seem to think I should provide (like say for example you asking for a pic of a sidewall on a board I have already stated to be cap construction) for advice I have clearly stated I am not looking for.

Thanks, but no thanks dude, not looking for advice on an issue that I am fully aware of and competant to rectify.

So, with all of your knowledge that your post infers you to have, have you ever replaced an entire section of edge on a ski or snowboard? Why do I ask? No real reason other than curiosity.

Sheesh, I have got my answer and this is pretty much ceasing to amuse me at this point and is just becoming ridiculous.

Guess spelling and intelligence aren't required to drive a cat.
Wow dude. You are really onto something with trying to insult somebody because they drive a snowcat. Quite the zinger you have come up with there. Woe is me, the lowly cat driver who gets the pleasure of doing something that very few people in the world get to do and enjoys going to work. Yup, miserable profession.

It is amazing how fucking stupid your posts are when you are not stealing somebody else's words to make up for your deficiencies. Truly an appropriate name. I know you are an alais and all, but the reality is that you are a real person there hiding behind that alias and you really aren't that clever, witty or sharp of a person evidenced by your posts. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you are out of your leauge with me and I will continue to cyber bitch slap you if all you can come up with is ripping on me for operating a cat and spelling. Get it? Lame-o. Go hang your head in shame pleab.

That ought to about do it for me in this thread. I got my question answered, need to get some sleep and go back to work tomorrow. Sheesh. Amusing as hell the chaos created by one simple and very clear question.

Could everyone pull their heads out of the collective asshole and shut the fuck up?

I mean, would it be asking all that much?

Cat Jockey - if they aren't saying anything relevant, why do you feel some sort of strange pedantic compunction to answer their mindless retorts? Are you utterly incapable of using the ignore function?

Gotta admit that this thread has given me a lotta laughs this evening. But I couldn't really read all the cat jockey responses - the words on the screen just kept swimming around...

Okay, got a little time this morning ...

Cat Jockey - if they aren't saying anything relevant, why do you feel some sort of strange pedantic compunction to answer their mindless retorts? Are you utterly incapable of using the ignore function?
Boredom. Amusement. Not in the sense of trolling, as I really had a legitimate albeit relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things, question. I was genuinely curious. What followed was quite predictable, and did not bother me in the least, but a few exchanges with people who feel the need to insult me and/or pontificate about their knowledge I did not ask for was a slightly amusing way to spend a Sunday. Is that bad of me? It is not as though I was jumping into a thread and telling someone they suck because of the type of gear they get down the mountain with and to go hang out somewhere else, like Blurred, I was merely responding to things that people chose to direct at me. Their participation was voluntary and they threw their hat in the ring - I threw their hat back for shits and giggles. You wouldn't call that trolling, would you? Wasn't trying to be a dick or get all worked up about it, just giving back a little of what was thrown at me.

I dunno, with over 1000 views, I am guessing a couple of others had some giggles as well. No harm in that, eh? Yup, 1000 views, 3 pages, and only one post that actually addressed and answered my question. Kinda funny if you think about it. Who are we kidding here? This site would be boring in the absence of threads like this.

As far as ignore buttons, well, I don't see the need for the use of one as I have no problem ignoring someone if I choose to.

Kudos to throwing the words pedantic and compuction in the same sentnece, but only one applies. Compuction is not an accurate description of the motivations behind my responses.

We already have one Blurred Elevens on this board.

Point taken. Sorry, I lowered my standards because I was dealing with an alias spewing bigotry. I will restrain myself from such comments in the future.

So, in conclusion, am I to gather that in the 1000+ views of this thread, there is only one person that has or knows of somebody replacing an entire length of edge to salvage a beloved member of their quiver? Hmmm. Interesting. I will document the process in the Tech Talk section when I begin it in a few weeks.

I guess I could sit on my ass in front of a computer screen then racking up a whole bunch of posts then? Grandaddy always said the the Net turns iron in your blood to lead in your ass. It is less an issue of time than it is one of the money it would take to replace a board like that; one that has only about ten days on it. Plus, I think the challenge would be enjoyable in addition to the enjoyment I get out of working on my own gear. To each their own.

Running posts through search engines, long winded diatribe on how you're in another leauge, squeeling about how nobody is rushing to help you after telling them all to blow you....
Then claiming to be so much more intelligent than everyone else.

All of this could have been handled by putting your thread in the right forum, but you still haven't done that. Actions speak louder than words. Quit trying to prove how smart you are, and do something that isn't completely pathetic.

Too funny. That is what I thought when I reread it. Glad I wasn't the only one to pick up on my accidental yoda-speak. Although I think for true yoda-speak it would be: Pretty clear about this I have been.

    Use the force Cat Jockey...
I hope to soon, for that means it is snowing to beat hell and I can't see a friggin' thing and am just guessing, using the force, about where I am driving.

Using the force = powder day when I punch out

Walked into what? Maybe, just maybe, I saw it coming. C'mon, who else would you be trying to jab at with that remark?

Should I not be proud to have a cover? I was rightfully stoked and thought I'd share. That being said, I currently have the cover and a number of full-page shots in two feature articles in Trofeo Nieve, a Spanish ski magazine.

So what do you have to be proud of?
