Need to get ebay fraud alert working asap.

Also see if TGR has any record of the isp that "fake" yeti logged in from when he made the first two posts in this thread.

Hopefully ebay/paypal will refund your money. They charge enough fees that they really should cover this kind of fraud.

Odds of getting cops involved are slim, since its only $200.

I owe an apology to YETI00 and Yeti for getting them into this. The seller has contacted me with tracking numbers and is completely legit. In fact, he hooked me up with a sick package for a seriously low price.

YETI00 (Justin) is true to his word and did everything right, I just overreacted. If he's ever got anything for sale on the board, don't hesitate.

Someone's fucking with me. This is the real Yeti, Todd from Maine. Someone else logged into my account -- username/password were both yeti -- and did this.

My advice: take it up with jjfriedly, who's hopefully just clueless and not a total fucking douchebag. justcuz, I'll be in touch.

To all that are interested in the current situation. I have contacted the buyer and given him the tracking numbers from todays shipment as promised. There has been some mistake that caused two users to log in under the same profile. The reason that I do this is to rectify the situation and to maintain my credibility on EBAY and the TGR forum. Thanks for understanding of the situation.

I submitted the following response to the real YETI. I would hope that the real YETI would approach the situation a little more realisticly and have a little faith in trusting people. The direct attacks towards me indicates that either you have spent too much time on the east coast or you forgot to take your meds - but this unjustified attack on my credibility was really unjustified.

I do not understand how we were both using that same user name in the system and that I was able to log in under "YETI". I am the furthest thing from a computer hack. I have changed my user name and created an entirely new profile. The sale between myself and the other party has been resolved and all is well. Unfortunately your hostility over the situation caused the buyer to be more concerned than he needed to since I sent the skis and boots today as promised. The skis are in Ft Collins CO (allegedly). Maybe a maggot could check them out and do some ass kicking if needed. The seller has been selling a lot of bike parts lately. Has 100% feedback. Could still be legit, but this is very bizzare shit indeed.

Hoping to add some clarity over the situation. The transaction is going forward as scheduled. I am still the same jfriedly that I have always been on EBAY. There was some mix up on TGR forum where there were two people logged in under the same user name. Not sure how this happend. Your "blitzkreig" attack on my credibilty was a bit unwarranted. I shipped the skis as promised today and provided tracking numbers. Unfortunately - I was unable to check e-mail for the past couple of days so that caused some delay in my response. I also changed cell providers recently and had not updated my profiles across the internet. Also I did not bring my charger and was not able to check messages on a dead cell phone. I actually gave the buyer my correct cell phone during our conversations regarding payment and shipping arrangements. I hope that you may reflect back on the situation and use it as some sort of foundation when you approach similar situations in the future. The ski community is usually pretty honest with each other - just trying to help one another out. Thanks for your understanding.

Pal, I'm glad this situation got straightened up. I won't repeat what I just sent you in a Private Message, but I'm a fuckin' yeti -- cousin to OGRE -- and you just dug yourself in deeper by not only insulting the mentally ill but "east coast" residents in general.
