    Salomon teneighty Gun Lab

I've found a place to get a set of these cheap ( sub $500 brand new ) .

Do any maggots have a pair or have they tried a pair ?

I've never actually tried a pair, but I've heard pretty good things about the Gun Labs.....as long as they're actually the Labs and not the guns. If they are in fact the Labs a sub $500 pricetag would be a hell of a deal on them.

they are basically a fatter & stiffer version of the new FOIL ski.

135-101-12? 188cm. proform is $600+, so i'd buy them, ski 'em, and worst comes to worst sell 'em for AT LEAST what you have into them...

they are a fat twin not SUPER stiff... (they are salomons...)

i personally though they would be a great jib or touring ski (but im a big guy 6'2'' 215#)

think of them as simliar to line profit 100 or jp vs. julien

not as stiff/big as an ANT

Only $499 on pro-form, they dropped the price a few weeks ago. Still not worth it though when you can get a better ski on pro-form for way less. But you could easily re-sell for that price after a season.

I've skied them, and IMHO they're nothing special. They still have that crappy Spaceframe chatter at high speeds, though it doesn't start until a much higher speed than on the Pocket Rockets (Gun).
It's heartbreaking to see a chick who's too anorexic.

FWIW proform is usually left implicit on the board.

Softer in the tip (and overall) than I had anticipated for a lab product. Nice ski for it's intended puppose, but I'd like to see how they are after 30 plus days.

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I've had a look at the rest of the quiver ( nordica beast 188, salomon ak rocket pilot 2002/3, salomon 1080 foil and others) . I think i'm going to have to get rid of something to make space ( keep mrs wildstyle happy) to allow these bad boys in.

    (image included for reference)

There's no way i'd get rid of the beasts, the foils are to play with and that leaves the ak rocket pilots....

Would you trade from salomon ak rocket pilots to the labs ?

I know the ak rockets are way stiffer than the gun labs but i'm thinking i'll only get to use the ak rockets once in a while in europe and when i get to america or new zealand whereas the gun labs will be a shit load lighter and more everyday friendly ......?

    put fritschis on foils.
    put alpine on gun labs.
    put alpine on goats.

Sell the 1080s and mount the freerides on the Gun Labs. Keep the Ak rockets for big mountain, hard snow, the gotamas for those days, the 1080 foils for fucking around, and the new Gun labs for everyday/a little bit of new snow days. Dunno what the beasts do. I guess hard snow?

Thanks again for the advice. I've pulled the trigger and bought them now. I'm going to get rid of the AK rockets.

If anyone Europeside would like a pair of brand new AK Rocket pilots from 2002/3 with s914's let me know.

I'm putting them on ebay now.
