Bindings for Explosivs?

I was giong to get a pai of Sally 916, but mucho $$$. Any suggestions for an alternative binding?

Look for a cheap 997 Equipe or DR9 on Ebay. These bindings are mechanically identical to the 916 with lighter-duty housings and DIN springs.

what about sally 997, 900 (carbon), or Look p14?

If Look/Rossi and max din of 14 is ok, you might want to look at these. I picked a pair for some Mantras. Wide brakes are included.

997 and 900 carbon have different toe housings, and differ slightly mechanically (Multicontrol in the 997 vs Spheric in the 900). Both are still good bindings IF they've been cared for and are in good condition. Recall that both of these bindings are full plastic housing, instead of the hybrid plastic toe/metal heel in the 997 equipe. 997 is stronger than the 900 carbon.

P14 is an excellent binding. Pivot heel can interfere with Trekkers in the "flat" position.

Got some 997 Equipes DIN 14 for $35 on eBay, I don't think you can go wrong with that. Bend the brakes per mntlion's thread and you are golden; or buy some brakes from him for $15 shipped and you still can't go wrong, since he's the absolute baller mang...

The S900 Equipe (6-14) has the plastic toe and metal heel like the 997, if you can find those.
