    I suppose... Hauling a 40-45lb bike up a hill may cause other pain.

    Yoga or at minimum all the back stretch type posses.

    Lifting - especially hammy and back lifts and use free weights as much as possible to work on all the core stabalizer muscules

    Body awarness - make sure your body postioning isn't stressing your back

    This has worked for me

    This might sound really dumb, but also make sure that your saddle hasn't slipped back on the rails or seatpost slipped down as well. I know people who this has happened to and they were in a world of pain. The seat slipping back can be harder to notice sometimes, unless you measure your fit all the time.

    I second the downhill not hurting my back, and mine is a weak thing! The upright position feels much better / easier / less pressure on my lower and mid back. And mmm, yoga.

    (Though, my back does hurt when I crash.....doh!)
    This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.
