    WTB for Cheap. Tele set-up + tele-boots.

I'm a college student looking for a cheap tele set up so I can try it out and maybe convert some friends. Doesn't have to be perfect, but would like something that would last for a while. I'm six feet so I'm thinking 175-180ish for the ski's and am a 27 boot size (anything between a 9 and 10 US would probably work. I'm a pretty agressive skier so I'm hoping I can find something rather stiff on the boot side, but I'm only 160 pounds, so can't have superstiff skis, I don't exactly know what I'm looking for. I have about $100 to spend for the whole set up (Superpass ate my savings) so my options are rather limited, but I may be able to hit up my parents if you've got a nicer setup. I'm at school in California for the rest of the week but live in Boulder, or I could met someone at Copper or Winter Park over the Holiday, or Christmas break. Would prefer twin tips but would rather put my money into nicer boots (they can be somewhat packed out but not looking for crap boots).

Boots are my hardest thing to find, so If you have those I'd buy seperatly, but I'd prefer skis and bindings togeather (this may also be a stupid question but do I have to remount the whole binding for differant shoe sizes or just the heel piece? Also, I'm good with P-tex so bases arn't an issue as long as theres no core shots. Also I have a pair of used once K2 escapes I got when I snapped some K2's, so If I get bindings I might be able to mount those or trade them if anyone's interested (that's a long shot I know but someone might have a begginer that wants to learn, there drilled for Solly 912's at a 313 sole length.)

I've got a pair of 188 Volkl Vertigo G20/20's (105-71-93) that are drilled for Freerides.

They could use some TLC, $50 plus shipping.

I assume you are trying at telemarktips.com?

Its got to be the largest market for tele.

Oh, and bindings are one size fit all - no need to remount since they aren't setup on boot center, but on the toe line.

Also, go to a local store and find out if your foot shape is a Scarpa or a Garmont and what size. Then you will know what used gear you really want or need.

I have as pair of Garmont Gara's I might be willing to let go. They are about 4 years old and have been used pretty lightly, ...Maybe around $150? I wear a size 9.5, Im not sure what size these are but I will look tonight if you are interested.

I've got some old Merrel Supercomps (the ones with the white plastic cuff) They are actually in great shape. They're U.S. size 9 I believe, fit a hair tighter than my scarpa size 9's. $25 and some shipping and they're yours.

I've got some K2 Enemys 173 with Voile 3-Pin Cable CRB's on them. The skis are on their 3rd mounting and I'd be shocked if you got a full season out of them. Binders are in good shape with a retro-fit step in heel. I'll send you brakes with them that are currently not attached to the binders. $90 shipped. If you want, I'll send you a pair of Rossi Hellgate 184's for $35 more along with the Enemys.

I have an older (bought in 99, all black) pair of Scarpa T1s in decent shape (less than 50 days I think), size 27.5. $60 + shipping (I live in the Bay area if that's where you go to school so you can pick them up if you want to). Also have some 190 K2 Piste Stinx bought at about the same time that you can have for cheap if you're interested.

Okay, how 'bout a pair of Solly X-free 9s with Rotty Chili Cobra bindings on Rotte risers for, say, a c-note?

Not the latest-and-greatest Sickter McRickter gnar-gnar-gnar, but the skis are good all-rounders (basically the XScream 9 without the damper doo-dads). They're lightweight, not too noodly and handle almost anything pretty well. Basically they're good to learn on and can be skied in most conditions reasonably hard. 186cm long. Waist is narrow by today's standards, but they actually do OK in pow, just don't expect 'em to be Gotamas. No base damage whatsoever tho' edges could use a touch of sharpening.

Pinner has a review of them here.

Bindings are hardwire/cartridge, in great shape. For all practical purposes they're same as the current R8, and a solid, active feel which is good for learning and ripping on when you get better. I much prefer them to the G3s. They're prolly worth as much as the skis, IMO. I was planning on transferring 'em to another pair if I don't sell 'em with the skis.
