    Starting to get worried

I hate posting this, because I want to be positive, but I am starting to get worried that I won't be able to get in any turns before Thanksgiving. A buddy of mine at The Canyons told me that there is no snow mid-mountain. There is no snow in the forecast for the next week. ALta is not looking much better. Snowbasin is pretty much dry. I guess that the best thing to do is keep fingers crossed, and start drinking heavily.

It happens some years we might get a slow start, it sucks but what do you do in 2001 we had no snoe and then over thanksgiving weekend got hit with 100 inches in 100 hours hopefully this happens again. Besides with my luck it will snow next Saturday when I move and it will make moving a pain.

If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I too have a friend coming for thanksgiving.

As far as the snow goes, I think alta should be okay, for groomers atleast

I dunno, it's snowing there now, no? And apparently it's cold enough to make snow down to 6400ish, judging by the snowgun deposits at the bottom of basin...

it's been snowing off and on all day today. Hopefully we'll get a huge storm in and get some decent coverage. PCMR and Deer Valley both just started blowing snow yesterday...we've got about 1/2 of man made =(
nooo dice on the real stuff.

Utah has some shitty years once in a while. However, it should be noted that "shitty" in Utah still means about 500 inches.

I am freaking out too, but mostly because of the visibility to everyone else's stoke that this board gives, but for myself, I've already skied a couple times, and its still only Nov. 13. Relax, medicate, repeat. By the time you look outside it will be fixed.

It could be worse. I mean, we could live in the mid-west. Or the south. Or the East.

Hey, none taken; I was out of the office from Wednesday to Saturday, so I had very little to do with the weekend forecast you may have seen....

Seriously, after this storm it looks pretty bleak for a while. Looks like a groomerific start to the season...
