Happier than a schoolboy on Christmas......

I just pulled the trigger on a pair of 05/06 GOTAMAS on ebay in the plastic for only $480!!! Still a good chunk of money but still better than paying $650 or more from the shops!!!! I'm probably crazy buying them as an east coaster but it will motivate me even more to head out west and explore some ec backcountry......wooohooo

Just do your homework and you'll be out there in no time.

Not crazy, they ski just fine in most conditions except for bumps and icy crap. They're suprisingly quick and easy to turn. Assuming you have another ski for most normal days, they'll treat you fine.

You're going to be on lots of walls with that Baker promo poster they're giving out everywhere.

Confession: I have one hanging in my cubicle.

Just curious how tall you are - with the huge tail, you lose a lot of surface area so maybe i should have gone with the 183s? But i'm mounting em back and doing a lot of tree skiing so i should be fine.....

What are you guys mounting them up with?

I am 5'9", around 130 lbs. Not sure how I am going to mount them.

Gotamas are almost too pretty to mount. You should just hang them on your wall!

I was stoked for you, until I saw this printed on your skis:

    "176"

They are, however, prettier than my '05 nasty, glossy 183's, so I'll give you that much...

I know i know, i wasn't willing to take the step to a 183 with all the tight tree skiing i do, plus i'm only 5'7".........i'll take a black sharpie and turn the 7 into a 9 to make them look badass....woah 196s

I'm thinking looks - the new black ones.....black on black.....mmmm
