If you look at all the photos it looks like they lowered it into the pond then dragged it through the ice to the other side.
    You are what you eat.

I was guessing the plan was to try and drive it under the ice?

Edit : OMFG the new forum interface rocks.

I'm guessing they tried to drive on the ice, got stuck, couldn't pull it backwards up the hill, so they went for the obvious solution.

I think I would've waited for the guy running the excavator to start work and had him pull it out the right way.

Edit: Okay, so I was sorta right. Looking at those first pics, how the hell is that considered stuck?? Son, throw her in reverse and punch it, she ain't gonna roll!

This picture story is best viewed with the babelfish Dutch-English translation:

On a beautiful day you will drive a bit with your 4x4.

    Or maybe it's Chinese-Dutch-English.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

    Drive a bit finely...

On a beautiful day you will drive a bit with your 4x4.

Unfortunately come be stuck you on very smal richeltje.

Nothing to the hand, using a quadrant is you rapidly downstairs.

Unless you send found oneself and for the second time are stuck, but now transverse on the richel.

Yes, also on the other hand it is very steep.

Even trying or that ice strong enough is there across drive.

    Not therefore.

Even with three quadrants succeeds it no longer to end up there reverse.

But then but liertje to the front and draw.

This can be not well for your square wipers.

Look nou, the monster of Loch Ness!

Through the slow tempo must be passed there to in the late uurtjes.

And then the bullbar tear on five meters for the side. Expired with quadrants.

At dagaanbreken appears that it has considerably frozen.

Also of near it does not see good.

There the rescuer in need is!

Once on the dry land damage can be taken.

    The interieur in cold ijstinten.

Pay attention especially to the enormous quantity mount space.

Only one couple deukjes on this side.

And as from this side it is exactly or he this way from the showroom comes.

Only one beetje jammer of those lakschade to the front.

Crazy, a whole lot of dumb decisions piling up on top of each other. Funny nonetheless. Oh, and everyone wears slacks and loafers in China it seems - you'll be driving along a rice field and the workers will have suit pants rolled up as they wade through the water and work. True.
This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.
