    Dispatch 1: Megabarrels in Micronesia

    THIS PLACE IS FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!!!

    Sick barrels all week. Hangin out with a bunch of pro surfers like Matt Archbold, Gary Elkerton, and a bunch of other Aussies here in paradise. Waves have been a "tiny" head-high with some overhead sets but it breaks FUCKIN PERFECT and the long-ass right peels across a sick ass reef. Barrels are plenty and easy to find, but the price to pay for eating shit is a trip to see Mr Reef, and to pay him with some skin samples. Nonstop surf morning and late afternoon. Downtime activities involve looking for the secret stripclub that's supposed to exist in downtown Phnpei, chewing betel nuts for shits and giggles, and generally getting hammered drinking with the Aussies at the camp. A big-ass swell is supposed to be hammering us this friday: 12 foot Hawaiian....FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

    This 386 on a 288 dialup is not worth my $4 an hour so I am ending this here.

    Betel gives a mild high/drunk feeling and pretty good headspins, but dies off pretty quickly when you stop chewing. The effect is very dependent on the expertise of the person cheweing. Nice work on the kegs, please get shacked for me as I am working too much.

    Old school! Some of the best surfing I've ever seen was Gary (still in the Kong days?) in Mad Wax at Sunset. I never really liked his style, but he ripped big Sunset apart in that flick.

    I just got back from another planet. Best surf trip, best sessions, best waves and best barrel in my 30 years

    Currently decompressing at Oahu for a few days to help me readjust to the real world. I sure as hell wasn't ready to leave the last one.

    Gonna try to get me some of this NW swell on it's way to da North Shore...yes - that'll cure this Western Pacific flu that is usually contracted from pulling into endless perfect barrels.

That's like getting perfect AK, which rarely happens, and getting what, an unheard of 20 runs in a day? I can only dream of waves like that (then I have to dream of having the ability to ride them). Just picture me 50-100' out on the shoulder, staying way clear of the barrel...
