In Feb, there are always holidays going on, but each canton does not overlap with the others.
In other words, the last week of Feb might be holidays for a few remaining cantons, but not all.
Usually, the 2nd and 3rd weeks Feb are the overlapping weeks, thus packed.
And people usually do one week of the two weeks off.

It doesn't matter as the date seems to be the 25 March.
Bravo to Bad Roo for just saying it and moving forward.
While I enjoy pow all day, a few drinks in the sun with some maggots works as well.

of course i wouldbe honoured to lead the maggots aroundone of my favourite playgrounds.
only money/and or reallycrappy snow can hold me back because my last paper is due on march 1st and my plans for march mainly consist of skiing.

So, having visited Engelburg this weekend, I think I have to go back there with decent snow conditions and people who know their way around. The terrain looks awesome

So is the summit looking likely to go ahead? When are people going to start to commit? I'm thinking I'm just going to come for the weekend of 25th to 26th if that fits with the crowd

Just wondering if people are just going to be around at the mini during the weekend, or part of the week before or after?

Looks like I could get either the week before or the week after off from work, so I'm debating which one to take.

Okey, so I'm of for Engelberg in a few hours. Let me know if any of you decides to go there this winter! A local semi-pro race-girl has promised to be our guide so hopefully I'll know my way around the slopes within soon!

Have time off March 23 to 30 and might be in Europe, but there is a high chance that I'll be doing the Haute Route.

reading up higher in the thread I found the week starting 25th March.

    Sounds good to me.

A lot is going on right now re: camps/vacations so we may have to wait a week for others to chime in and confirm 25th or chose another week.
when not on the snow what else do i do...

At the moment, the week we're looking at is the last week in march, not the first week.

If you're set on coming over for the 2nd to the 12th, i will be in les deux alpes in france from the 4th to the 12th and will be getting some la grave in if it dumps during that time. You're welcome/ to head over that way and hook up for a couple of days of turns in la grave and/or alpe d'huez and/or les deux alpes.

Awesome. I just booked my flight into Zurich, get in on the 3rd and leave the 12th. I guess I'll go where the snow is during then. I've never been to europe, so this will be a first.

I am in Europe in the last week of March and I'll be coming to the summit because I finally want to meet the Roos (and especially the wonderful Mrs. Roo) in person. Mrs Franz Klammer (my mom) and Hansi Hinterseer (my brother) will be there too and I am suggesting it should be somewhere in Eastern Austria for obvious snow reasons!

As said before, I will be in Engelberg 30/3-2/4 regardless. If there is an actual summit happening it will be a bonus, for sure. For other maggots who are looking to ski and share some good times, that long weekend will happen in Engelberg in some way or another. Hopefully quite a few will be able to meet up.

Since every other mini is getting a sticker, is the Euro one going to? I can't make it unfortunately (School, eh? Who'd have it) But I am going to be touring in Cervina the week after, so there are ups and downs

    Yeah, stickers sound great.

Shmerham, schuss and I were just discussing this weekend at the EC Summit that we had so many stickers from last year that we were just going to cross out Stowe & 2005 with Jay Peak & 2006.
