Alpine Skills Avy I course this winter

On some other threads on Avy I courses, there were several responses that people were interested in taking the class offered by Alpine Skills in Truckee.

Me, Corky, & Mrs. Corky are planning on going. The dates we're thinking of (when ASI has openings) are:

    Dec. 10-11 or 17-18
    Jan. 7-8
    Jan. 21-22

Anyone else want to go? Our preference is earlier -- less likely to miss a good powder day -- so Dec. 10-11 or 17-18 would be best.

Also, I'd like to get a list here of interested maggots; maybe if we can sign up enough people at once, they might give us a discount...? Post here if you're interested.

More info here on the course:

Actually, that would probably be the best time to learn.

I'm signing up for the Dec. 17-18 course. Group discounts not possible, oh well.

...real interested. But we're gonna pass this season, I think.
Hope there's some snow for you guys then

Are any of you planning to use Alpine gear ?
Or is it all about Tele/AT/Snowshoe/Board ?

I volunteered Corky to be dug out of the dirt if there's no snow. Beacons work through dirt, right?

I'm bringing AT gear. The Alpine Skills people sent out a short list of gear to bring with -- skis or snowshoes OK. I don't remember if they said anything about alpine gear, but they did list climbing skins if you bring skis.
