It's on their website - opening day is the 10th.Originally Posted by MTT
Though when we drove by on Sunday to take the kids out to play in the Mt Rose meadows, there was only 2 inches of snow there.
Supposedly they put in a lot of snowmaking equipment over the summer of 2004 in the East Bowl, but I doubt they used it last winter. They'll need it this year.
And now the temp has droped and the wind is blowing HARD!
Storm comming?
Yep the price to run off the groomers is high this time of year. But i can abuse myself on groomers too! Mt. rose will have Northwest open and groomed. (Fast with Air) Works for me>Originally Posted by Spats
EDIT: What am I saying? Mt. Rose sucks! I suck! thats why I like it there. You all should go to Mammoth or Wait for Squaw Valley to open (Real Ski Areas)
I'll be there on the 11th, 12th, and 13th. Reservations made. But damn, I hope its more than just Broadway, Stump, and #3. Maybe a human-slalom-course day. Rock skis if its man-made or crust, and wondering if Gondi2 will operate? Maybe Utah the week thereafter if the Sierra get skunked that following week...![]()
I'll be up for the opener, hopefully Old Man winter shows us his stuff.
Whoa, what you gotta say?? Whoa, girls turn 18 every day!!!

I won't be able to make it on opening day, but I plan to be there on Sunday, the 13th.
I'll be there opening weekend. I may go out exploring and scoping later season lines. If I'm on the white ribbon, I'll probably get my pass punched for going too fast.
