Installing Pole Baskets - Jong question but I used search!

Couldn't find anything. I want to put BD powder baskets on non-BD poles - is this doable and if so, how do I do it? If BD doesn't work, are baskets generally swappable with different makes of poles?...ok, I found one thing but I still need help just installing baskets in general...

that's the one thing I found and it was totally helpful - I guess my question is more basic. How do I get my baskets off my poles?

Not sure what BD is but when in doubt hot water to expand and soften plastics and /or break down glue. I use a crock pot for it.

    Oh.

They're press-fit on most poles; some baskets -- very few -- are threaded on. Try unscrewing them; if nothing happens, they're press fit.

To remove press-fit baskets, put the pole in something where you can hammer on the pole tip from the bottom, which will pop the pole shaft out of the basket. I used a bench vise. Only takes a tap or two with a hammer, and the pole pops right out.

BD=Black Diamond - are pole baskets glued on? Mine look press fit (which makes me think banging them would be best) but again, I don't know...

If they’re press-fit, put a crescent wrench over the plastic bit and hammer away.
