Regluing skins where the old glue is patchy

My wife has Montana skins. They are only 2 years old and the skin glue is patchy in some spots despite her faithfully sticking them together with those plastic thingameebobs. Told her she should have stuck with Ascenscion glue.

I now have the task of regluing her skins.

Can I shortcut this and just swab on new glue in the spots where the old glue is no longer present? Or do I have to remove all the old glue first? The old glue, where its still on the skin, is still good.

NOTE - I see iskibc's reply below in the skin thread. Anyone else have input?

Patching it up should be just fine. Like I said in the other thread, just be sure not to get too much in one spot. Make sure it's an even application.

On another note, I don't like those black things you fold your skins onto after use. I used them the first time out and the next time I pulled them apart, half the black shit stuck to the glue. I like just folding them in half. Works much better.

That's exactly what I told my wife bwdik. Thanks!
