    WTB: size 26 boot shell

Looking to buy a size 26 boot shell (305mm) with a flex of about 100, good condition, as narrow of a calf as possible (think Ghandi legs) with a medium to wide forefoot. I have zipfits so the liner doesn't matter. Let me know if you can hook me up with something. Thanks.

Is calf width something that is accounted for in the shells, I thought it was only in the liners...I have some Head WCs, older ones but firm (prolly around 100) but I think they are 301? I have wide feet and they didn't kill me - anything with a flex 100+ is going to be pretty narrow unless its certain Technica or Solly models...let me know if you are interested and maybe we can deal (I have to wait for my sollys to get here first to make sure they fit as well - could be a week)...

I have an older Nordica w12 shell which is around a Flex index of 90 I believe. It's a size 25.5 though, which I'm pretty sure is a size 25 shell. So basically, the only thing this post did was make you a lot dumber.

I will now take my seat.

Isn't the Head WC a race boot? (prolly revealing my ignorance here) I have the Nordica Speedmachine right now. I love it but the sides of my calves (peronius longus) gets killed by skiing hard and my bootfitter can't figure it out. I'm thinking that a softer boot might help out with that. PM me when you get your new boots in.

pm'd ya. Yeah, Head WC is a race boot, as will be most boots with a 100+ flex (or at least a de-tuned race boot). I think your fit problem has more to do with brand than with flex although yeah, if you went for a total comfort intermediate boot you probably would have no pain; you would be miserable for different reasons. Anyhow, my new Sollys are here, they f'in rule so I am happy to let the Head shells go...let me know.

Salomon Course boots size 26 boot sole 304mm... very good shape: maybe 60 days and very little sole wear.

    Interested?

I have some Lange L10's. I THINK the flex is 110, if you are interested I will check for sure. If you want them $40 plus ship?

I've got some xwave 10s 26.5 that I had in the free gear thread. The liners are pretty beat, but you don't need them. The boots have been worked on quite a bit, but a heat gun will take them back to the original shape (except where ground). You can have them if you want to come pick them up in SF or Tahoe.
