    Utard Mags Quiver Question

I have Volkl Ax4s for my everyday ski. My season's pass is at The Canyons. Otherwise, I will ski LCC only 10 days. Should my 2d ski be Mantra or Gotama. Currently, I have both. Right now, I am leaning toward keeping the Gotama. I will unload one at a very reasonable price, and keep the other. Thanks.

While I'm not utarded I can safely say that you should keep the Gotama's and you should ski LCC more.

Keep the mantra, sell the Gotama to bagtagley. Seriously, I'm not sure you could go wrong with either. I love my Gots though. Used them as an everyday ski at Alta last year, but this year acquired some wizard explosivs to act as my everyday ski.

Professor Stump, could you please elaborate on your reasoning? Perhaps you were seeking a narrower waist and stiffer ski for throwing down in choppy conditions?

I am so on the fence right now about my everyday Jackson ski - currently I've got Maden's and Big Dads but no mid-90's ski for skiing the gnar. I've been really happy with my Soft Bro's as a touring set-up so maybe I should look into stiffs or super-stiffs...

    Nhtele, my understudy -

Theres a few reasons. While the Gots were solid in every condition alta had to offer last year, the 105 underfoot was kind of overkill for skiing windboard or just cruising around on groomers. Additionally, I'm willing to give up a little bit of width for the extra stiffness on the wizard for choppy days. Finally, the old Gots suffered alot of damage - while the new ones look much burlier, I figure the explosive will be perfect for soaking up all that early and late season base carnage.

BTW, wasn't it about a year ago today we got that sweet BC day in up at alta? Damn that was good stuff.

    Stump, my wise mentor -

Strong reasons all. Still gotta find me a ski for daily killing it @ Jackson - 191 Mantra could be the ticket. I love the 190 wizards for tele. Maybe when I come down I'll actually tele and we can match...

And yeah, I've been looking at the calendar this past week and fondly remembering last Oct. in LCC - easily the best early season skiing ever.

Shouldn't you be huggin some rock somewhere? PM me your damn email address so I can hook you up with some music and ridicule.

And nhtele - mantras would be super sweet I think. And lets not fool ourselves into thinking you are going to do anything but alpine this year. Ya poser.
