Yeah, someone said something about being able to birth skis, like something out of the Matrix. It all makes so much sense now.

Just read through the new website. Interesting stuff. There are quite a few changes in the construction from the db skis, though. The db skis had foam core with 5 carbon vertical ribs along the ski's length. Also they used kevlar. The dp skis have a wood core (!) and with a carbon reinforcment wrapped around the core. There is no use of kevlar. For mounting the dp skis have an area of fiberglass.

It would be interesting to hear some comments on the thinking behind these changes. Also, I wonder what this does to the weight of the ski. I would think that maybe the wood would make the feel of the skis possibly a bit livelier, but this is obviously impossible to say before you ski them. Have you guys tested these skis in their current incarnation (I know the answer is no for the lotus 138, but for the others)?

And of course; how confident are you about the february 06 delivery?

It looks really promissing, I must say.

I think the european e-mails were through him. A familiar name at the end of the e-mail.

I wonder if somebody could score a pair of "old" tablas through him, or anybody..

Yup, that's me being the euro dude for dp. But I think Stephan better fill you in on the technical details, I'm stuck in Oslo with noting more than rain filled streets under my feet and no boards at hand.

Well Meathelmet, if you're interested in a two year old pair of Tablas, delammed and beaten up, I'm the man

Dood, get me a couple of Koff beer or a bottle of Koskenkorva and the skis are your's. They're actually that bad. Not that Finish beer or Vodka is are bad, not in any way But the skis are not worth paying an öre for... Was actually gonna give them to the Skiers Lodge to use as decoration.

Or maybe a round of beers in Åre by mid december?

I think the wall of the skiers lodge is a fitting place for my absolute favorite pair of skis in the world.

Heh I seen them skis and they were already pretty hammered in January. Glisseur was acting as our rockfinder in Corviglia

Can't imagine how they fared after crossing several continents.

They'd look good in the Skier's Lodge - in the bathroom next to 'the picture'.

Great to see it's back to Game On there Glisseur, at least as far as production.

Word has it that the pub is sponsored by and will be named after a certain major american ski brand with a letter/number combination as their name... My old Tablas will most definitely be placed in le shitterie, right next to the infamous piece of art there...

Yep, the dp site is now up and running. There are still some bling bling and stuff to be added later on though, but the basics are there.

sweet. I wonder if athletes of said company will get free drinks even though you're no longer the bartender?

nonononono you misunderstood... the skis are going in the shitter of the pub. A truly historic place for a truly historic pair of skis. Glisseur, tell the man. It's for the good of the PEOPLE!

I can get you a pair of 190cm Fischer GTS 73-57-68 skis instead though, so you won't be totally empty-handed.
