It's time for show and tell

These things have been on my mind for too long and decided to pick them up last night. Ah, the sexiness of new skis that have yet to be used.

Anybody have recommendations on the mount? I lined them up with my Little Big Fats and compared. I'm thinking 2 cm back.

    Dynastar Big Trouble 176

    Thumbs up

nice ski! i got a chance to demo them this past wknd in a bit of new wind buff and found them tons of fun. they were mounted at the line which took a bit of getting used to, i'd def go 2 back or maybe even 3 depending on how much flippy spinny you like. i had lbfs mounted at the line and would've rather had them -2.

My girlfriend just got a pair of those... are you going to get all jibby with those? Why not the 186's?

Well, I have a pair of 183 Sugar Daddy's for touring and big pow days. These are more the everyday ski. My everyday skis have been Dynastar in about the same length (175 Intuitive 74s, then 178 LBFs), so I'm pretty comfortable with the length. Just a little more manuverable in tight spots, and I will be trying to more spins this year - we'll see how that works out.

Good stuff... it will be a very different ski for her. Sometimes i wish i was a little girl so i could get some rediculously huge powder skis.

I just got a pair of Big Troubles myself for everyday resort mayhem. 186's. FWIW I mounted mine on the line but I prefer a more centered stance and I lined them up with my old skis to compare.

The coolest thing about the skis are if you look at the middle part of the tail of the ski in profile you can see the "spring blade mechanism" under the top sheet. Probably all marketing hype but it looks like there is a leaf spring embedded in the ski, which is kind of cool.
