Holy poop, Ted Ligety! That guy sure did go from a scrawny ugly kid that everyone used to smoke in all events to a big ugly kid that is killing it!

After a closer look at my 2nd run it looks like I sneaked in at 11th!! Not bad for my first race of the year. However, with some good training over the next month I think I could pull out a top 5. Thanks for all your support and better luck next time irul&ublo your still learning and you have a ton of talent, don't give up.

Well, If skiing wasn't so expensive in the U.S. of A. you'd get the better athletes from other sports, Allen Iverson, Derek Jeter, Jeff Gordan et al

To me, Ligety stole the show. Start position 64! He finished 8th. Can you imagine if he started in the top 25-30, before the course was ripped up?

Well maybe, maybe not, but is skiing really more expense than NASCAR? What the hell kind of skis are you riding?

Well, maybe a strong start. But that idiot manages to state that using EPO or other drugs should be legalised as long as it at a level that doesn't harm your body.

Way to go, Bode! Those are just excellent signals you're sending to the kids around the globe!!

Dude, he is an athlete. Not a role model. OK. Sports are entertainment. Entertainers are not role models.

Point taken, nobody should without consent be given the label role model. I for one would have fought it if I was ever to become a candidate (very unlikely).

But I am still entitled to call Bode an idiot. What an amazingly stupid opinion

thats no joke! I saw a documentry show (forget the name) about race car drivers. they're in wicked shape. similar resting heart rates to cyclists. btw, to euro fags trash talking Bode. it must really piss you guys off when Americans dominate ski racing and cycling.

True, many athletes are. I don't think Bode is. He is definitely a non-conformist/rebel. Much of his career has been spent ignoring coaching and developing his own technique. Now he is one of the best. I think if the Herminator hadn't hurt himself so badly he would own Bode. Then again maybe not. They are both great and I am a fan of both. They represent two different aspects of the sport.

Even when it comes to farting we rule supreme. You've got to give him credit for delivering the fart under so much pressure ...
