Hello
My name is Serg Blyumkin.
I'm from Rusland, Ural, Ekaterinburg.
We have deep snow mountain-taiga earth surfaces here.
In Rusland market there are absolutely no good skis for Hunting, for example,
or just touring.
There are "kamus" - deer skins covered skis, but they are very rare to find
and hard in use, bad smell, short lifetime etc
I have searched Internet and found no special "cross-country" skis.
But i have found that there are ski skins: nylon, mohair, poleuretan.
As I have searched the internet and found nothing informative
about the subject,
Please tell me basic information about the ski skins:
1.Efficency ?
i mean, can i go on with skins on mountain-taiga forrest hills,
for hunting,
holding in my arms shotgun,
and not using ski sticks ?
will i be able to move quite freely and stable up and down hills.
When moving up hill i mean just stepping forward, not using special climbing method - just stepping as i would normaly walk on street wearing shoes.
2.Lifetime of the skins?
3.Does they mess going forward ?
i mean when i go up hill the skins supposed to help
reduce return feedback,
when i step up hill the skis do not let go down-back,
but does they prohibit sliding forward when going on plain place ?
4.Can You say about differency beetween skins made from Deer and those modern Nylon/Mohair skins ?
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH
FOR YOUR ATTENTION
