Props to Team 13. ECHO is pretty damn good.

I was on here a couple weeks ago griping about ski movies, the big ski movie companies, and the ski industry in general. Now, I'm here to say that Team 13's new flick, ECHO, is definately worth checking out. These guys killed it. Good music. No fronting. Sick line after sick line after sick line. All with a cool, humble, and realistic vibe start to finish. Well done.

On a more somber note. Condolences to the friends and family of Carl Skoog. Carl, you inspired a whole lot of Northwest skiers. RIP.

I agree - it's quite good. Have you seen this year's TGR yet? Just curious.

I honestly have to say that PY's section is one of the most amazing sections I've ever seen. I love the excitement in PY's voice when he stomps his first cliff in 13 months, I love his girlfriends stoke on seeing him stomp it. I love the subtle build up of the recovery from his injury. I love watching him stomp 60-70 airs with remarkable amount of speed. And the final shot, the goddamn final shot. Slaying so damn many thousand feet of vertical, smooth, flowing, fast. So sick.

Somebody needs to give Slip a cool mil to buy some 16's and make the sickest ski movie of all time.

Hmm, looks like I just talked myself into popping Echo in again.

I just got an email from PY this morning. He has no sponsors and this will be his last ski movie. The footage only shows him at maybe 80-90%. This year he says he will be at 100%, skiing for fun and maybe for some stills in B.C. He held back (because of his leg) on doing backflips off cliffs, jibbing, etc., so I know he can have a much better section.

Unless someone in the industry steps up, he and his girlfriend/camerawomen are going to move on. I'm kinda jealous. They have a good life up there and will be skiing some of the best terrain in the world. It would cool to see PY at 100%, but it ain't gonna happen on film. I guess I'll see some glimpses of it when I visit him and we ski some bc for fun. Hopefully.

That's just fucking wrong. IMHO he is the #1 big mountain rider in the industry right now. That segment in Echo is the first segment in a long while that gave me an endorphin rush as if I had been skiing with him. As the final segment of the flick it left me on a physical and mental high like ski flicks used to do. His skiing makes the world a better place and to lose him due to lack of spancers is a crime.

If he was skiing at 80% in that movie, I'm going to put away the skis forever.

What the fuck, seriously, PY is amazing, for anyone without the movie check out his website at http://www.pyleblanc.com for video clips. I think he is one of the top skiiers around from that footage, stomping MASSIVE air, really fast, fluid skiing, pleasure to watch.

I can't believe he isn't sponsored, now that he is back from injury he should be on pro teams all over the place. Hope people take notice.

Just checked out VAST awards @ http://www.vastawards.com you can vote for PY's segment for best skiier on there. Not trying to spam, don't even know the guy, just think he kills it and want to see him on film more!

Also there is a bunch of good Teddybear Crisis footage on that site, slick editing/music, gonna be picking that one up.

Bingo. He is good at the business side of things and very professional. I'm guessing most companies have maxed out budgets, too. But the main thing is everyone left him when he got injured.

Watched the film yesterday and it's pretty impressive. It's so easy to watch ski movies and just end up with a big 'meh - so what'. This one is different. Draw up a template of what most mags would want from ski porn and Echo ticks the boxes. Up and coming rippers alongside established names, undedited big lines in the extras section, a chilled out soundtrack, not a huge amount of park stuff, contributors like Str8line, Alka and BakerBoy showing us their moves, and some ripping cinematography and editing. There even seemed to be a flow to the movie that's hard to achieve with a random bunch of segments, with PY's section at the end providing an uplifting finale. I would have liked to have seen a 'behind the scenes' section in the Extras but that's just me. Jessica Sobolowski (I think) has a beaut of a tomahawk.

It's up there with High Life, JunkShow, Sinners and Immersion as one of my modern faves.

Sounds like to me he doesn't feel like playing the sponsor me game, and just loves to ski.

    That's fucking awesome.

I ordered about a month ago and thought I'd barely made the discount ($5) but ya never know...

Since diapers came into my budget, t13 is the only porn I've purchased- its easy for me to catch the biggies at the apres-ski beerhouse while waiting for gapers to clear the road (or borrow from someone). Plus slip's on the hometeam and I like to support his efforts- which are always pretty kickass. I do love seein' the same deepdays I had in BB segments, and the emphasis on big mtn and pow in general. I like the vibe maybe because lots of the skiing seems pretty reachable though solid, like I could be that guy making those turns (okay I thought that with Jack 'n Jon and not so much JC or PY...) Also cool to see talent from this place represented and several rippin women. All in all another great skiflick...

    nice work slip
