Nice move Ty. I'm considering an entry depending on how my leg feels after the season starts.

I got on the world tour at KWood, now I just need some help getting around and paying some fees to do the Europe comps. Can anyone help me?
Whats you name, I was also there, also planning on doing the euro leg.

I did the first and only one in Jackson back in 97 or so....not to sound like "I'm all that" but it was the single worst judged freeskiing contest ever. On the first day I skied a super solid line with a solid air (20 footer or so) up at top and worked the bottom section as well. Did this all on 222's...while people like John Treman, etc...even after losing equipment... kept qualifying.

<temporary-but-related-hijack> there is a great article/story in the new SnowBoard Mag (the cover with the dude jumping between the trees and pink typeface for the mag title) about gnarly toe nails caused from riding (with pics, haha). highly reccomend reading. </end temporary-but-related-hijack>

I will be sure to read that one...and a big mountain comp in J-hole huh? I too am curious as to where the venue will be. Skier666- what were the venues the year that you competed. I have watched the tele event and I think that qualifiers were Tower 3/Toiletbowl. Hmmmm....I was planning to head out for a long weekend this year, but not sure about competing.

What's the drive between JHole and Tahoe like? Just did a quick mapquest check and it's showing just under 13 hours.

666, was the Jackson comp you entered run in the area skier's left of Tower 3 chute? Unskiabowl or something?

    oops, girlski is fastahhhh

Props where they are due- 666 just might be all that. How bout another contest in Thunderbowl or Round Top???

As for age- How about Jack Hannan? I know Steve Klassen won for snowboarders last year at KW at the ripe old age of 39.

Drive time is weather dependent... however I've done Oakland to Jackson direct in about 12-13 hours. Depending on where you're driving from in Tahoe, you're looking at 9-10 hours.

Also, the last time I skied with 666 he looked at me and said, "I'm all that." Then he dropped into Upper Cham for the 17th time that day.

I would love to see them run the Jackson comp on the typically closed Alta Zero.
