I'm really scared right now
Man, what a difference a week makes. Last week things were going good. I was about to finally get out of PA, so I went to the doctor's for my periodic checkups. I had my semi annual CAT scan, and then things started to slide.
The cat scan revealed a mysterious spot on my right lung. They are not 100 % sure of what it is, but given my history, there is a chance that it might be melanoma on my lung.
Yeah, on my lung. Which means that they would have to open up my chest to remove it. Today I had an MRI to make sure nothing is in my brain, as well as a PET scan to find out if it is melanoma on my lung or something else. I'll be meeting a with surgeon on Tuesday, and depending on the results of the tests, we'll find out what happens next.
So obviously, I'm really, really scared right now. Lung surgerey isn't exactly a minor procedure. But there is also a possibility that it isn't melanoma, which is what I'm hoping for.
Sorry to get all diary on you guys, but you sure as hell helped me get through this shit the last time around. I'll be in chat for awhile, but might take a break during South Park. It's been a heavy couple of days, to say the least.
