after experiencing the 04/05 season in Europe and seeing the 04/05 season in the US posted up...
I would have said I have to find some way to get to Utah/CO this year to do some storm-chasing.
when not on the snow what else do i do...

C'est vrai, c'est la verite! I'm a Suisse Romand storm chaser. Occasionally, the Haute Savoie.

Sounds like you were hitting the Alpes on a line drawn from Zurich south to Luzerne and everything to the East. I would bet on that being a great location this season, too. Enjoy!!!

Regardless, the best way for this thread to die is to stop bumping it...

LOL. i'd let it die but you keep trying to squirm out of it. i'm just trying to set the record straight here once and for all.

if you would take 2 mins to check the website - there is a difference between a REGISTERED user and a MEMBERSHIP user. i am registered. i can only access the 3 day reports (sort of in a way, not like you can on the actual SFC website. plus only a small subset of ski resorts are available). if you pony up £49 per year for the MEMBERSHIP you get access to the 6 day reports.

    sheesh.

i agree. i keep wanting to hit up someplace in the US (utah and whistler are at the top of my list) but can't justify it. i just can't bear to leave snow looking for snow. it's easier (and more cost efficient) to follow the snow within the alps if i have to.

04/05 was definitely my best so far too.

I've absconded myself of any responsibility. I threw down the € for a membership.

I am a paid member. I have access to the same weather map as a registered user, the 12 hour map. I just extrapolated the URL out to 160 hours.

I'm trying to squirm out of nothing. I wrote a little script that I find useful and put it up for others to have a look at. This isn't data that isn't freely available on the internet. You don't have to look at the maps and you don't have to continually bump this thread. Your continued attacks on me are really getting tiresome.

Do you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?

sorry edg, but what you are doing is dishonest. this information is NOT freely available. just because you can extrapolate an unsecured URL, doesn't make it legit. btw, i am not attacking you, i am attacking what you are doing.

ok, so i'll let it drop. i really could care less myself, i just thought honesty would prevail. guess i'm wrong.

I applaude your initiative and creativity, anyway. I agree that a 05/06 thread is needed. Give it another try. I am not a fan of using last year's 18 page bloated thread. Let's talk about this season w/o the last year's overhead.
In case you missed it edg.

Hey, let's go skiing. When you coming over and where?

edg, i'm not sure if you are just being conveniently ignorant, but the signup for SkiClub is £49 per year. i'll bet that snow-forecast gets a kickback from that fee for the free use of their site to members.
Ripz, could you expand a bit on your comment coz I don't understand what you're getting at.

some of the maps you post are viewable only with a pay membership.
thus, ripz is saying you should not post them publicly.

    i gotta agree with him,
unless someone can show where they are viewable for free.

But you'd like to be able to see those 3-6 day reports without paying though, wouldn't you?
