    fks155 vs. 185

From what I have heard the 155 is same bomber construction as 185, just lower din.

Being that I'm 6'1", 150 lbs and keep din at 12/13, the 155 sounds better to me. But maybe too close to the top of the spring? i.e. lose elasticity. 12/13 is ok for an 18 din binder right?

    so 185 it is?

I've got a 17 DIN binding set to 12 and it works just fine.

The FKS 155 is kind of goofy if you ask me. The din range on the 155 is 6-15 where as the din range on the 185 is 8-18. Not a huge difference and the 185/P18 is way easier to find cheap.

EDIT: DIN is in fact 6-15... my bad.

Always thought the rule of thumb was to keep your DIN in the middle of the range of the binding, so if you are skiing with a DIN of 12/13, you should probably go with the 185.

edit: pretty sure the construction on the 155 and the 185 is the same: both have metal housing.

Don't forget the fun factor with brake bending on those models.

Yes, yes it does. Regardless of what people say, it really sucks. I'd rather ski on S916's with fat brakes than have to bend Look/Rossi race brakes. Or neither, which I do.

Missed opportunity for sponsor plug. You're slipping BB.

    Hah. I apologize.

Fischer X17's are the lightest weight, high-DIN (6-17) bindings available with 110mm wide brakes.

There, happy? It burns when I pee.
