The sintered Indium base has indium integrated into the base material, this absorbs heat generated over the base, which gives a faster glide.......
I scoff in your gerneral direction.![]()

tap, I'm doing the same pondering/research for the same kind of board - but women-specific.
.
Skier666's brother here-
Although the Nitro's are expensive, I would go with them. I had the first board (2001 Nitro Supernaturals Limited Ed.) that included a progressive sidecut where I was able to lean my body in a direction and it would turn for me. In addition, I can honestly say it holds very well at high speeds (straight-line on Wall Chair, Kirkwood, CA) and still has enough pop for ground tricks.
Since then, I have bought another Nitro (Naturals 165) and have taken it in every type of terrain and highly recommend it for all mountain riding. Kirkwood approved.
Now I'm looking into the Darkhorse- has anyone ever rode one? Why is it so much?
Also, in the market for a powder board- any suggestions?

It needs to be big enough to float and small enough to pull up and out of the powder when it's deeper than two feet. Think of a retractable boat. I stopped riding anything bigger than a 168 in the pow. I ride a 175 on the groomers though.
shugs - I'm thinking about the Nitro Black Widow. Good to hear that you like Nitro, I know next to nothing about them, other than my board shop manager recommends it for me (we've ridden together) this season.

best powder board ever.
burton fish 160

I broke the darkhorse first run. If your paying full price don't waste you time.Originally Posted by shugs

They make a 201 swallowtail too... i've seen someone riding it and it looked smooth and FAST.
Salomon Burner!!!
Its the rediesigned Fastback, adn from what I've been told, its the tits (no offense Yogachic). Supposed to be teched to the hilt, and stiff as hell.
Yoga- I'm not a big Burton guy- but the Feelgood ES (way overpriced) is supposed to be a bit of a revelation in women's freeride borads. Also for $800 (!!) you can get custom sidewalls, base, and topsheet- including an option for an argyle pattern.
Mrs. Slim rides a 156 Titan. It's a lot of board... damp, damp, damp and made for big turns and big mountains. She gives Never Summer a big thumbs up.
gnu temple cummıns? same company as lıbtech whos makıngs skıs now. ıts all comıng full circle

Volkl Selecta- Squirly, squirly, squirly.
All over the damn place that thing is. I've also been advised to sterr clear of volkl snowboards- apperantly they're just last years K2s now.
Great, what do they call their version of the Eldorado. God I loved those boards.....Originally Posted by biggins

yeah, great if you're into going straight and fast.....Steepwaters are great boards but have HUGE sidecuts (11.25+).....so i'm thinking that they aren't the best for in-bounds all day riding, i.e. in the treesOriginally Posted by ridefree
