    Quiver goodness

Having received a new (used) pair of G41s in the mail last night, I stood back and took in the awe of my quiver with the teary-eyed gaze of a proud father.

190 Explosives (thanks to the goodness of my close friend Gonz)
195 AK Rockets (thanks to the good people at Powder)
193 Volkl P40s (thanks to a full-on barnballs blowout sale somewhere in Canadia)
    198 G41s (as previously mentioned)
204 K2 Seth Morrisons (the old ones, first year of parabolics, given to me by this beezerker named Gunnar in the A-Basin parking lot after he let Gonz and I take a few pulls off of his hooka)...insert homophobic comments here...
185 Rossi Megabangs (for western telewhakin')
184 Bandit Xs (mounted tele for eastern telewhakin')

Not bad for a wet behind the ears city kid in Manhattan. Only 2 looming problems: where to keep them in my apartment (they currently live next to the front door) and where to get my FIRST DAMN TURNS OF THE @#$%ING SEASON!!!
Workin' man can't get no weekend time to ski.

Any city-dwellers that derive as much pleasure as I do from looking at their skis please post here. Maybe we can start our own forum called

    @$#*&^@#*&$#@*^&$@#*ingcitylifeissuckingmywilltoli ve.com
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

    I'm with ya, Honc

I've got an older pair of 185 Blizzards - 190 Head CyberCross Ti's - 180 CMH Explosivs and a brand new, never touched the snow pair of 188 Scratch BC's spread out across my living room wall - 1/2 on one side of the window w/ mtn view and 1/2 on the other so I can sit there in the evenings and stare at them, thinking of the beautiful days we will share in the coming months.

Although I'm only an hour from the rockies and stare at them peaks from my desk all day, this damn corporate rat race/office hell keeps getting the way of weekday skiing. Allright, I admit to hitting the mtns 8 days already this year, but I've had the scratches for 3 days now and haven't been able to escape this ugly, grey concrete maze to use them - staring at and fondling the quiver keeps this from killing me.

Honc, after Manhattan life daily - the mountains would have to seem just that much sweeter, sort of like getting laid after an extended dry spell. As for storage, I'd recommend some U shaped brackets on the living room wall and use them as art.

    Honc,

You will have to realize that as a New Yorker, you never really ski. You only buy skis. You think "These will really be sweet at the summit" or "Sure we'll get a two foot dump so I can use the Gotamas."

Something comes up or work interferes and your best laid plans are laid to waste. Your quiver just gets bigger and bigger, but you never ski any of your mechandise. You become a modern-day Sisyphus.
    You, sir, are a disgrace!
