This thread is useless without pictures.

This thread is also useless because Utah had an epic year last year and it shouldn't be surprising that there are a lot of pics from there. Same reason Arlberg, Austria is in a lot shots this year and Tahoe has seen its fair share.

I think the ski porn industry has done a better job of mixing the tried and true places with the newer unhyped places.

every one of those places has been pictured more than once in the past year. Several dozens of times.

I've seen people throw frisbees 100 yards or so. I highly doubt you could throw one 200 yards, nevermind 25 miles.

If you think there is a lack of variety in the locations in Powder, open up any surfing magazine. Easily 70% of the pictures are from a 7 mile stip on Oahu. They should all change their names to "North Shore Tourist Pamphlet"

Except when they all have an article about New Zealand. With pics and text by the same people in the span of a couple months.

Not that I need to defend Powder, but in the last year or so I remember articles on Russia, Himalayas, Eastern Europe (a couple, including Splat's), Iran, Japan, Alaska, the Haute Route, all over Europe, a b/c trek through the Sierra, Pyrennees etc., all w/lots of pics and none are in OOTAH.

Actually, i really liked the article on japan in this months (or was it lasts?) Powder. Well written, and the pics really fit the tone of the article.

Clearly for the same reasons no one ever did anything on Iran earlier the same year. Damn those no good not doers.
