    Mount Rainier (Skiing Related)

    We are planning a spring ascent and ski descent. I am wondering if anybody has done this? If so any input? Also might have room for one or two more partners to share cost.

    I could be interested. We'll see what kind of shape I'm in by then.

    Very nice.. Exactly the info I am looking for. I have done Whitney and we aborted a descent of McKinley after 12 days of hell in a tent. So far the plannning of this trip has been;
    Me: Could I have another pitcher please? So where should we try next spring?

    My Buddy: Actually lets get two pitchers, how about Rainier?

    Me: Cool, lets do it.

    Good websites. We are shooting for mid May. Also hoping to be in decent shape by then. Would welcome the addition to the expedition if you are interested.

    The Fuhrer Finger is a bitchin' descent.... did that a few years ago.

    I may be up there a few times this spring.

    My best advice: do the Fuhrer Finger, and do it in a day. Go light, start at 10 PM, drink Cytomax and take 1 Clif Shot every 30 minutes. Take a small stove to stop and brew up during the day.
