    Hit List Remix

Received The Hit List yesterday, thought it was so-so. I’m tired of hearing about how graybird sucks, exotic locations rule, or personal feelings. This film could barely keep my attention, I kept asking myself “where’s the skiing?” I just want to see some ripping skiers ripping it up!

Thank goodness for The Hit List Remix.

This is a whole different film and in my opinion much, much better. This is straight up ski porn. Lots of skiing in the rapid fire editing style of old, I didn’t want to look away for fear of missing something. It’s the same songs and I’d guess 40% new footage but the old footage is woven in such a way it isn’t repetitive. There is very little narration, and the lifestyle shots don’t intrude on the skiing, plus the comedy parts are actually funny. It felt like there was more skiing in the first 15 minutes of Remix than there was in the entirety of Hit List.

    Highlights:
    - Ski porn. Lots of it.
    - The Huckasoreass influence is very apparent.
    - The Alkasqauwlik-Cliff Huckstable segment was hilarious.
-Move over Brad Holmes, Jon McMurray is in da hizzle!

The alternate title to this film could be “Shop Mix” because this is the one shops will be running. I highly doubt I’ll ever watch the original Hit List again.

The Jon McMurray segment in the remix was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

PS - have you watched the bonus footage of the Boat Trip? That is one of my favorite parts. It tells a story of a ski trip.....I loved it.

just got this, i know i'm very behind the curve, anyways....

i haven't read very many of the threads on this movie, but i'm surprised that no one is talking about the pep fujas segment and especially his re-mix segment. damn that guy just makes skiing look so damn fun, he rules.

i haven't seen much abma footage, but i can't say that i've seen anything from him that hasn't easily been topped by sage (sorry to throw the tgr vs msp thing in).
