Broken Nose Question

I sorta got jumped this weekend and my nose was broken in the process. Nothing spectacular- everything stayed in place, no blockage etc. so I never went to the hospital or anything. It still hurts like a mother when the pills start to wear off, but the swelling has started to go down and I've found where I believe the break is (ridge of my nose, even with my eye.) There are a couple things I'm a bit worried about and wondering what you guys think:

1)The eye I got hit in hurts. I can look left to right fine, but up and down causes pain in the back of my eye. I think this has started to go away but it still kind of concerns me.
2)Blood in my spit. I haven't bled out of my nose since after the first day but if I (haulk sound) blood comes out with my spit. It feels like my sinus behind the middle of my nose is the source of this, but also if I push on my forehead, the pressure increases.

I've checked my tempature thinking it might be an infection causing the bleeding but that is just fine. Should I be worried about this enough to go have it checked out or am I just being a big pussy?

I would get it checked. Sounds like you cracked enough of your skull that it's impacted your sinuses and possibly the orbital.

Given how many important parts of you are attached to your skull, I'd consider getting it looked at seriously.

Not exactly the advice I was hoping for but thanks, I appreciate it. What do you think the treatment will be if I did impact my sinus; mainly, would I have to get my shit rebroken? That does not sound fun.

yes go to the ER and have them check for an orbital fracture. If the orbit is frctured you won't be able to look up. The muscle that does this gets trapped by the fracture and prevents the eyeball from rotating.

Blood in the spit could be coming from the nasal fracture.

Go get x-rayed.

Thanks for the medical advice. Got an x-ray, then a CT scan and like ya'll said, I cracked me orbital. Not enough to warrant sugery (thank god) but enough to be concerned about it for a few weeks.

Thank God for this place. If it wasn't for the TGR forums I would be dead in a gutter somewhere, my pockets filled with money.
