Anybody up for a ride late Tuesday afternoon or early evening? My GT project bike is up and running and I want to get it dirty.

If you really want to come up to Park City, possibly. Early eveningish.
This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.
I thought we were meeting for dinner with Lumpy on Tuesday night to talk about "things," no?Originally Posted by InspectorGadget

Yes, we are meeting Tuesday night to talk about things. I put up the thread before we made our plans.Originally Posted by altachic

Thinking about a Glenwild loop tomorrow (Wed 12th) if anyone's interested.
Probably not, what time?Originally Posted by Particle
Hah! Thinking a lunchtime loop...somewhere around 12:30-1pm. I've only got the big bike so will probably do a loop up to 24/7, down the new freeride trails and back down the frontside.
If my bullit is done by then I would be interested. Don't think I can make the evening ride tomorrow.Originally Posted by Particle
Would that explain why you weren't at the Grill when I came by to say hello?Originally Posted by Ski Monkey
For your sake, I hope so.
Negative, it was one of those throw shit at the fan day for me. Wonderful. I'm hoping to get back on a bike soon, it's been probably a week or so, maybe tomorrow.Originally Posted by InspectorGadget
Monkey, sorry I didn't see your post but sounds like it wouldn't have worked today anyway. I couldn't make the lunch ride (slammed at work, just got home at 9:15pm...11hr day woohoo!--sux I can't complain to my wife who is putting in a 30-hour shift tonight).
Anyway I got in a ride just before dark tonight...hadn't been on the bike for 11 days! Yikes. I felt it too...but fun. Might bring the bike up tomorrow (Thurs) as well.
How about Glenwild later Friday afternoon? Anyone?
Can't make it Friday...but IG you should go check out the freeride trails. They are in fantastic shape right now. Built a few more new bridges, jumps, etc...and the berms are REALLY packed in good--it is flowing soooo nice right now. If you don't want to jump just hit the first one you come to and it's all flowy berms and such.
Man I hate to even say this; but, where are the freeride trails? [/not likely the end of being a dumbass]Originally Posted by Particle
Not that the bike is going to allay my concerns about jumping off something very big - but this GT iDrive I just put together rides really well. Even though four inches of travel does not a freeride bike make, it sure beats the hell out of the bike I have been riding.
No worries man, I know how it goes, it's kinda how my day went.Originally Posted by Particle
I'm going to try and do my best to get a ride in tomorrow. Interested in the freeride trails since I haven't been up there.
No worries IG, it's more of a XC freeride loop. Don't want a huge bike for it really. 4" will do you just fine.Originally Posted by InspectorGadget
Directions: Park at the Spring Creek trailhead. Climb the looker's left side of the mountain (drop down to the left after you cross the road bridge over the creek). Climb for a while; you'll start hitting 2-3 major switchbacks on the way up to the peak; at the 3rd switchback or so, the 24/7 trail splits off to the left. Take it. Approximately 400 yards? down the trail...not too far but not immediately either...you'll see the first trail split off to the left. It's the easier of the two. I haven't ridden it yet but phUnk says it's very tame. Lots of berms. It hooks in with the other trail mid-way down. Keep going about 100 feet to the more tech second trail if you like. It has a rocky stair-step entrance, then twists and turns downhill with some pretty good rock roll/drops, a couple kickers, etc. Everything has ride-arounds if you don't feel like gettin' gnar. Both trails are primo for learning this type of riding with no real consequences and plenty of options for working your way up in difficulty. At the bottom, you can either climb up to your right, which will loop back up to the 24/7 trail. Take a right at the junction (obvious) and it'll take you back to the top of the freeride trails for loops, or just return to the frontside Glenwild trails. There is also an option to drop down into Jeremy Ranch and I think the frontage road, but I haven't taken that yet.
Thank you particle.![]()
If I can finish my chores at the office quickly, I'm headed over to try the freeride playground. Can anyone else come out to play?

No worries! So how was it??
Work? Actually, it was worth staying to pick up a $587,000 loan. Riding didn't happen. I talked to a co-worker at REI today and she said that both of the freeride trails are a blast. I'm going Sunday - afternoon I think.Originally Posted by Particle
