Wink The dude on the back of my pistols.....

    will eat your soul.

Studying for midterms is boring, so i decided to attack my pistols with shapies instead. Iggyskiers pistols in the quiver thread inspired me. I figured they couldn't really get much uglier, so whatever.

Still trying to figure what to do with the rest of the junk....So did I make them even more hideous or what??

yeah...those are pretty ugly, but it isn't like they weren't ugly before. The guy on the back is pretty nuts too.

I just made my really black so there wasn't so much going on. To do that, though, you pretty much have to cover everything.

Yours actually maybe uglier. I made my, in my opinion, much better than they were before.

    Even colored the bindings.....

I think your guy may be a little crazier looking than mine though....

Yours look cool. I like the yellow mountains.

Im thinking I might make everything black besides what i already colored, that may look cool...

PS. iggy, will the coloring fade? If I do the rest black I'd rather not have to go back and do it again, I really dont care enough. Actually now there mounted with freerides so they don't see much action.....luckily

I don't know why, but they go well with all black with just a small part highlighted, like the mountains or face.

They will probably easier to color black since they aren't bright yellow as well.

It gets to be funny when people ask you about "next years" ski when you use them.

I did the same thing to my old public enemys. They, as well as these SP, had armada stickers on them. And people, all the time, even people skiing on Seth pistols and public enemies, would ask me how the new armadas skied. Pretty funny.

Yeah, it does fade, but kind of in weird spots. Most of the ski does fine. I maybe touch the black up there every 5 times they get used. Right by the tail, basically on the twin, it fades a lot for some reason. They remain black, but need to be touched up. It is a small area so it isn't a big deal to touch up, maybe 5 minutes.

The biggest fading comes from my damn ski rack. I donno why, but it takes a lot of black off. I'm getting a rocket box soon, so it won't matter then, but my normal ski rack results in the most fading by far. Again, though, it is a small area that takes max 5 minutes to touch up.

I think maybe ill put a clear coat of some sort over it. Especially if I paint em black. Iggy you ever think of doing that? Would it work?

yeah, thought about it, and im sure it would work. I just don't know what I would do it with.

If you have any ideas I'd probably try them.

it probably rubs off on the tail from the rooster tail being launched off the back...

    Clear coat:

First, I painted my Line Dragons black, although I used spraypaint. I used spray can clear coat and it helped reduce some wearing off, I would bet.

But I also used it on a non-painted ski: I cleaned off paint and old stickers off my PR's and I used nail polish remover and a Scotchbrite pad. THe result was, all the paint came off but it left them looking dull and scratched. I sprayed the same clearcoat stuff on them and they looked normal again.

I would suggest using it over your sharpie work. Anytime you have to touch-up, just spray a little more clear over it.

I've always thought that any one of the designs on pistols would look cool by itself, but there's just too much.

I'm gonna look into spraying a clear coat on them.

The tail fading is because of the rooster tail.

My duct tape cable cable is awesome.

The armada sticker is there for my amusement. No one read the actual ski and everyone, even people riding pistols, thinks they are Armadas.

    And I'm from boulder....so I drive a subaru.
