    Kreitler on Blizzard?

Just got the new Freeskier and saw an ad for Blizzard featuring Kreitler? Am I hopelessly out of the loop or did this happen recently? Does anybody really care? Do I care?

On second thought, let me answer those last two questions for all of us--...hmmm not really.

Edit: Also--huge props to BB for a kick-ass two-page "all up in yo grille" spread. Nicely done.

Yep, he parted ways with Rossi this summer, and just recently signed with Blizzard. He sounded pretty psyched on it, apparently they're going to set him up with the race room guys and let him make whatever ski he wants.

so, what's the deal? He was dropped by K2, although I thought he was one of their better atheletes at the time (right up there with Seth), and it was supposedly for him not performing. WTF?!?

now Rossi...once again, one of their better atheletes (right up with Sage and Candide).

so, what gives? Is it the Kreitler "Asshole" attitude? Or does bad luck follow him?

shouldn't be too surprising...changing of the guard. Seen a Rossi ad lately? It's all about the new school. Considering the parent is Quiksilver, no surprises on this move. Krietler is a rippa for sure, just not as flasy and fresh as Kristi Leskinin, Rory or Sage.

He was selling too much of their "Top Secret" gear on here.

So Micah Black and Gordy Peifer are screwed? Kent had far more of a jibbing background than they do, and combined it with big mountain far more than those two or really anyone else on the team, with the possible exception of Sage.

I wonder when the jibbing backlash that we see hitting ski films will hit ski companies.

Since when does Kent have an "Asshole" attitude? Have you spent a lot of time with him? I guess you're just talking shit about someone because they've got some success that you wish you had.

Most of you guys don't realize Krietler has had some serious injureis that led to companys letting him go. That was the issue with K2 and now with Rossi. A guy that constantly has carreer threatening injuries isn't going to be supported for too long especially when he keeps jumping ship for a better offer. The industry is small and companys like loyalty.

I heard strong rumors of Krietler and 4-Frnt thinking of partnering back at the Vegas show in Jan. Obviously Blizzard offered him something that he was more interested in.

No question the guy rips..harder then anyone, and he's still doing it because he loves to ski, props to him. Sometimes you need to find the means to keep doing it. I want to see Krietler make the come back one more time!!! So stop giving him slack, give him props because he's been at it longer then just about anyone!!! From the Tahoe freeride movement at the start of the freeski revolution to the AK big mtn slaying and in recent years making that transition to throwing some tricks into the big mtn arena. Krietler rules. 30+ and still kicking...

I talked to Kreitler after a TGR movie a couple of years ago and he seemed like a really cool guy from what I could tell. No asshole-I'm a pro-attitude there.

He DOES have his own movie. Yet, that argument is pretty much worthless, since McSchlonkey does too. That self-righetous asshole!

I'd rather watch a 2-hour documentary about Z-Dizzle: The Quest for Girlski's Sister. I think Lifetime has a slot open for you.

Well, the Titan Pro is a 193cm with a 95mm waist, so it's not exactly weaksauce. And they couldn't really make a Kreitler pro model this season, since the graphics were done last year, and the skis were pressed no later than this summer, and possibly last winter, which would be before he signed with them. So perhaps next year, we might see a wider or Kreitler pro model, who knows. As long as they don't butcher them like K2 ended up doing...

No the Titan pro is definately not "weaksauce" by any means!! It looks like a really fun ski. I am a big fan of the Titans, and i understand why nothing happened this season, because of the manufacture of the 05/06 models.
Just thikinkg maybe down the road a wider Titan with his name on it may be in the works...to compete with other manufacturers, and meet buyers demands...

This is totally besides the point, and I don't know him so I really don't care what he is like, but.............did you see his movie???? Even his close friends say what a total PITA he can be.

If Shane and Kent can be dropped then no one is safe.
