Weird K2 question:
I just got a pair of 04/05 188 Apachie Chiefs w/ Markersoff of E-Bay for $275. Psyched about the great deal. But, on the topsheet they are labeled as having dimensions of 118-98-111. I havent got a chance to measure them yet. But, On the way out the door this morning I compared them to my rommates AK Enemys and they look to be about a cm wider at the tip. That would place them around the 129 tip that they are supposed to be. Whats the deal?

some super dodgy rasta guy out of baltimore was selling these things for $299 new last year. suposedly they were merely mis-printed by the chinese factory, otherwise they're fine.

Yeah...Thats what I figured. I picked them up in person from the guy I bought them from. (Ski shop manager in Vail) I didnt even notice till I got them home. I could tell that they were wider than 118 just by looking at them.

Mine are mislabeled like that too. Supposedly all of the 04-05 ones got the wrong label.

true. K2 pooched the numbers on the little metal plate on the chief last year. add 10 to the tip and tail and there ya go.

I just saw a pair of 04/05 in a shop for $449, labelled 118/98/111. Held them up to the 05/06 model which is labelled 131/98/116 and they appeared to be the same. However, I have now read on this board that 04/05 measure 126/98/116. Salesperson assured me that they are unchanged from 04/05 to 05/06, except for topsheet. Can anyone elaborate?
