I'd mount up the Explosiv's first. Seriously.

You can always use a skin cut to the Explosiv (pending you get the right tail clip set up) on the Gotama, but not the other way around.

Not really related to anyone here (as far as I know) but something taht happened that I always rememberwhen new Gotamas are mentioned. possibly a bit sad (on my part) but, well, here goes:

A well-known Finnish photographer (who you will probably meet in La Grave, published in Powder a few times) got the first pair of retail Gotamas in France last season. A few hours later, before he'd got bindings for them he was found by his housemates, drooling, with a sick (as in pervy) far-away look in his eyes, whilst waxing the topsheet of the skis.

With a ski that shiny I'd be tempted too

A first year product almost always has flaws. Fixing up some busted up Naxi's wouldn't be too difficult (experimentation would be fun too).

This is a pretty bad idea. You are better off getting some new binders. Seriously, it is worth the money.
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

I thought this was the second year for the Naxos? Not necessarly 2nd in the US, but 2nd for the planet.

NAXOS ARE NOT A FIRST YEAR PRODUCT.

Just because its the first year WE can buy them in the good old US of A doesn't mean they weren't available elsewhere last year (and they were in Europe)

Er, I don't think they were available over here. Sure, there were a few protos and test binders kicking around but I don't think you could go into a shop and buy them. Well, maybe at the very end of the season (or in a couple of random places, eg chamonix) but they weren't widely available.
