Eh, decided to use a stupid tiitle that has NOTHING to do with the content of this particular topic.
Anybody get up to Alyeska today? They were getting socked in the entire time we were up there today. Sheerly insane-o. Man, the snow up here is easily and by far the heaviest stuff I've ever skied or even thought of existing (especially coming from powder skill taught to me in Alta, the deepest, driest snow on earth) and many a time I was sent packing when i tried to go five feet or more off of the trail. Getting stuck ten plus times made me feel like a fool, today, but it was ok, because, damn it, I had a friggen blast.
The highlight today was this little huck as you were coming back out under chair four, you could go big and hit this perfect pow landing. I got a little overambitious and tried to gap over this whole brush scheme, and got my ass handed to me as I was doubled right around a tree about four to five inches in diameter, my hand is still killing me. Oh well, the snow is so heavy, and you need to pack your inruns hardcore, but the snow sure as hell is fun to land in, that's for damned sure.
STOKE ON!!!!
