    Last night we grilled.

Had burgers. Grilled the Bacon. Oh Man. Put swiss cheese on said Bacon burger...

A we purchase this stuff :http://www.tetonvalleymustard.com/ (shameless plug- not my mustard- just stumbled upon it.)

I may have mentioned in the past that we usually eat burgers on a toasted English muffin- just excellent

    They were exceptional.

    Bacon!

It's time to store up for the winter and my hunt this morning was quite successful. 6.5 lbs of bacon for $10. I shouldered the slab through the grocery store like a prize winning kill, while my GF cowered in disgust.

    mmm bacon

    Bacon Scented Bacon Print Tuxedo
There's a theory that everything is better with bacon. We believe that theory with all of our heart. To that end, we are introducing our line of bacon formal wear with Uncle Oinker's Bacon Scented Bacon Print Tuxedo. You can get married in bacon, get confirmed in bacon or go to the Oscars in bacon! Wait until Joan Rivers gets a whiff of you. Each Tuxedo is tailored from chemically treated latex print fabric in one of four different sizes. Best of all, it smells just like bacon sizzling in the pan. Dry clean only.

I luv me sum bacon, took the remains of 2lbs applewood smoked over to the man cave for the bball game. Throw it down on top the wood stove in one of those Al pans and pretty soon the whole cave was scented wit that glorious smell and we chowd meat candy while WVU went down the tubes.

Had sum Mackysmacky and coughed for 15 minutes, this nu shit is atomic.

The myth of avalanche bacon was busted for me today. Search dogs should not be chasing down smell of bacon when searching for you. But good news, bacon is still great for eating, and the more you smell like you the better your chances of being found. So don't shower, and sweat like a pig on the uphill.

Care to reveal the brand oysters? I always swear to never buy them again. Got 2 cans of smoked clams by mistake one time and that was brutal.

Got some ground elk from a buddy and made burgers. I decided it needed some fat so I added a few slices of diced applewood smoked bacon to the mix. It looked super weird, but was amazing. I think the key was I cooked them on a cast iron griddle on our gas grill set on high. Created a really nice bark and the burgers stayed nice and tight.

this is the strangest thing that's ever happened..

Tried a new kind of bacon and had to add salt?!
never had to do that before
It's from a local farm, so probably meant to be better for me or something.

Not bacon exactly, but rendered pork belly fat instead of cream makes insane ganche. Dip crispy bacon in it and coat in chopped toasted walnuts.....the ultimate energy food! Bacon fat is luxurious!

when I had to gain 15 pounsd after my moto crash, I found the "bacon and melted cheese" diet helped. You try to add bacon and melted cheese to each and every meal...
Plus at least one FDT a day (frozen dairy treat)
