Not to my mind. I can generally not like the music of an artist/group but enjoy a song or two.

Van Morrison is an asshole and gets more fkd the older he gets it seems but the guy has killer chops and i'd say underated. So many soulful tracks and he's always on it. What a voice. I cant put him down. Always on the playlist

    Tupelo Honey

If you like Van Morrison, I recommend John Martyn and Nick Drake. Nick has a renaissance a decade ago showing up in movies and ads but John is still a bit unknown outside guitarist circles.

Thanks, Nick's pink moon is pretty cool and i really like John's glory box cover. Great tune. Portishead are awesome. ill save both those tunes in a playlist. Checked out a few other tracks. Good but maybe a bit mellow for me

I think "Classic Rock" radio ruined some really good musicians for me. I got sick of certain overplayed songs, like Stone Me and Tupelo Honey. Therefore I didn't pursue other works by the same musician. Eric Clapton is another. I fucking hate Layla. It drives me into a rage. It may be my loss, but I cant unhear it. At least Tupelo Honey doesn't have quite the same affect.

The nice thing about Light My Fire is that your opinion seems universal now. I haven’t heard that song for years and I’m good with that.

Well, it was 4 decades ago... How's the place doing? I remember very little.

Town's doing great! Main Streets really nice. Hotel Tupelo is pretty pimp too. They gave me the Elvis-themed "King Suite" last time. Baller. Oxford's pretty nice too. Staying there this time around but going to Tupelo for lunch meetings.

Thats cool, good to hear, I'll put it on the list.
There are some places in the south that I'd like to revisit since I haven't been there since I was little. My dad taught at the MUW in Columbus, I learned to ride a skateboard there. I was born in Anniston, AL, and apparently that place now has a MTB and brewery scene, so that'd be cool to check out.
Not a huge fan of Van Morrison, but the song is OK.
